Most organisations in the Directory will offer some or all of their services for free; others will charge for their services. From this page you can also find out how to apply for legal aid. The Community Legal Service Quality Mark Any legal services provider who wishes to be part of the CLS must achieve the minimum standards established under what we call the Quality Mark.
The Directory includes details of over 10,000 solicitors, advice agencies and information providers. To help you to understand what is covered under each category of law, we provide a brief description of each category and some examples of the sorts of issue each covers. Advice Search enables you to seek information on legal issues from any of the 300+ sites which we have selected.
CLS Direct is available in ten languages: English, Welsh, Chinese(simplified), Urdu, Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi Gujarati, Turkish and Arabic.
You can navigate to the main sections of the CLS Direct website using keyboard short-cuts, which are a combination of key strokes. The following text outlines the procedures to be followed when making a complaint about the service received from a CLS provider.
